The paper is devoted to the analysis of a coupled thermoelastic 1D problem in presence of non-local thermal energy fluxes. The governing equation of temperature distribution involves fractional operators as far as a power-law decaying function is included in the transport equation of long-range fluxes that have been assumed proportional to the relative temperature among the interacting locations. Some numerical applications reporting the distribution of temperature in 1D elastic domain have been discussed in the paper.

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of a coupled thermoelastic 1D problem in presence of non-local thermal energy fluxes. The governing equation of temperature distribution involves fractional operators as far as a power-law decaying function is included in the transport equation of long-range fluxes that have been assumed proportional to the relative temperature among the interacting locations. Some numerical applications reporting the distribution of temperature in 1D elastic domain have been discussed in the paper.
