The fossil record of the Savi vole, Microtus (Terricola) savii (de Sélys Longchamps, 1838) is becoming more and more consistent in Sicily. In the present work is analysed the morphometric variability of the Sicilian fossil Savi vole in comparison with other extant and fossil Italian and European populations with the aim to identify possible palaeo-geographical and taxonomic patterns. The results suggest that the Savi vole dispersed twice in Sicily.
