Abstract
Agrigento, built on various morphological levels, in which the ancient city is set among the mountains, it was defined by poetical looks of eighteenth-century travellers. Stand out the temples, the regulars constructions, the obelisks and the elements belonging to the landscape of the mind. In the watercolours of travels, the charm of ruin, with its sublime traits, coexists with the dream of an harmonic Akragas, Greek city with an all ideal nature. The imaginative component of the Drawing, and it couldn’t be otherwise, tells about the subjective idea of the beauty through the “objectivity” of the ruins.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
