This study applies landscape classification and land evaluation to reconstruct changes in the agricultural suitability of Sicilian landscapes through time. By integrating climatic, paleobotanical and archaeobotanical evidence, it examines the diachronic evolution of land units and wheat-growing potential from prehistory to the present, highlighting relationships between environmental change, human settlements and cultural dynamics.
