Starting from a multi-perspective reflection on the two main genres of children’s literature, this article aims at presenting a didactic experience on the educational value of fables and fairy tales, proposed in an academic context through the so-called “debate”. An attempt to develop the creative, critical and metacognitive abilities of students, in order to nurture listening and reflective skills, dialectical and democratic discussion.
