In today’s competitive markets, Project Managers rely on project man-agement tools to guide teams through complex tasks, tight deadlines, and collaborations. In this context, Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) have emerged as crucial tools for planning, organizing, and controlling projects of varying complexities across different sectors, offering tools such as time optimization, resources allocation, and risk management. This paper identifies the most relevant PMIS features and their relative importance, through a literature review, commercial software evaluations, and expert interviews. Their relative importance was quantified using the Group Best Worst Method (G-BWM). Planning plays a central role, where Scheduling, Budget Tracking, and Risk Management are vital elements. This is followed by Control and Risk/Issue Management, while Document Management, Communication, and Utility result less important. The results support researchers and professionals in PMIS selection and development, enabling informed decisions aligned with real user needs.
