Abstract
The article explores the underlying morphologies and operational methods of criminal justice, on the one hand, and restorative justice, on the other hand, highlighting the keys to understanding conflict, narration, and listening. In this way , in the name of complementarity, the ability of both systems are explored, despite their radically different characteristics, syntaxes, and languages of identity, to converge in the shaping of social paths to pacification. Particular importance has been given to the investigation of the “restorative basin” as a reserved place where Restorative Justice programs are outlined, designed, and implemented, thanks to the role played by the mediator and the use of listening in the management of dialogic flows.
