One of the photographic collections deposited at the Istituto Centrale per il Catalogo e la Documentazione, between 1992 and 2018, is the Piero Becchetti Collection (Rome, 1922 - 2011). The sale will be through three payments and a donation of other books, photographic equipment and photographs. A collector and scholar of photography, Piero Becchetti is passionate about the history of the city of Rome and focuses his research on the collection of objects, documents and photographic images from the late 19th century that document the city's evolution from a socio-economic, historical and artistic point of view and that, in terms of photography studies, allow us to trace the history of the photographic process in Italy.
