The study examines the resilience of European-listed firms to exogenous shocks focusing on the impact of gender diversity in the board and executive leadership. Using a Dynamic Panel Model for the period 2014-2023, we analyze the effect of U.S. and China trade war (2017–2018) and the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2023) shocks, and we measure firm resilience as deviations between observed and counterfactual price trends.
