The article examines the intersection between the growing use of drones and the protection of personal data in the era of artificial intelligence. After an overview of the origins and regulatory evolution of drones, with particular reference to the GDPR and the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), the text analyzes the privacy risks associated with the use of such devices, especially due to the massive data collection enabled by advanced sensors. The issue of legal liability for the improper use of drones is also addressed, as well as the regulatory measures adopted at both national and European levels to mitigate these risks.
