Paesaggio e ricerca del tempo silente

The contribution intends to address the theme of the relationship between architecture and nature through the structuring role that the anthropized landscape plays for that type of project that bases its constitutive essence on the physical and transcendent dimension of places, in the sense of the Kantian notion of Stimmung. A notion subsumed within a broader condition of emotional tonality that imbues the landscape understood as the main purpose of architecture. That is, the privileged area of theoretical reflection, of the research of poíesis, understood as actio transiens, and of práxis, understood as an operational process that finds the meaning of its development within the design action itself. Therefore, nature and the landscape, which constitutes it, become the ‘founding material’ from which the values inherent in architecture arise. Starting from these general considerations, we intend to highlight, also through the reference to emblematic case studies, the ways in which the project traces its reasons, the principles that generate it in the artificial imprint of the places of nature, trying to establish, with the latter, a sodal and osmotic relationship. A relationship that, however, does not hide the condition of every design gesture to be understood as a cultural act placed before the same nature in its natural state. By means of some theoretical reflections, it is intended to underline the importance of the debate aroused, especially in Italian architectural culture, by the interpretation of the landscape as the primary purpose of architecture. We will thus refer to an architectural eidos generated according to the identity of the places and referring to the highest harmony of the natural scene shaped by human action, renewing archetypal and original relationships, charged with the profound sense of mithos. An idea that can only be realized through the search for the unfathomable beauty of silence.

Il contributo intende affrontare il tema del rapporto tra architettura e natura attraverso il ruolo strutturante che il paesaggio antropizzato svolge per quel tipo di progetto che fonda la sua essenza costitutiva sulla dimensione fisica e trascendente dei luoghi, nel senso della nozione kantiana di Stimmung. Una nozione sussunta all'interno di una più ampia condizione di tonalità emotiva che impregna il paesaggio inteso come scopo principale dell'architettura. Cioè l'ambito privilegiato della riflessione teorica, della ricerca della "poíesis", intesa come "actio transiens", e della "práxis", intesa come processo operativo che trova il senso del suo sviluppo all'interno dell'azione progettuale stessa. Pertanto, la natura e il paesaggio, che la costituisce, diventano il “materiale fondante” da cui nascono i valori propri dell'architettura. Partendo da queste considerazioni generali, si intende evidenziare, anche attraverso il riferimento a casi studio emblematici, le modalità con cui il progetto rintraccia le sue ragioni, i principi che lo generano nell'impronta artificiale dei luoghi della natura, cercando di instaurare, con quest'ultima, un rapporto sodale e osmotico. Un rapporto che, tuttavia, non nasconde la condizione di ogni gesto progettuale da intendersi come atto culturale posto di fronte alla stessa natura nel suo stato naturale. Attraverso alcune riflessioni teoriche, si intende sottolineare l'importanza del dibattito suscitato, soprattutto nella cultura architettonica italiana, dall'interpretazione del paesaggio come fine primario dell'architettura. Si farà quindi riferimento a un eidos architettonico generato in funzione dell'identità dei luoghi e riferito alla più alta armonia della scena naturale plasmata dall'azione umana, rinnovando relazioni archetipiche e originali, cariche del senso profondo del mithos. Un'idea che può essere realizzata solo attraverso la ricerca dell'insondabile bellezza del silenzio.
