Among the so-called megatrends posing risks to the European Union and Italy, Emerging Disruptive Technologies and the cyberspace represent two fundamental issues to be addressed through a specific, holistic approach, especially when they are looked upon through the lenses of intelligence and Homeland Security, requiring new approaches – even from an organizational point of view – with the clear objective of preventing, monitoring and limiting new potential, ever-evolving threats.
