The planned conservation assumes an important role in heritage practices in the involvement of communities according to bottom-up approaches. The opening of the Italian Cultural Heritage Framework Law to the "private" as protagonist, together with the public, in the valorisation activity, allows to read the theme of planned conservation as participation of the civil society, as real users of the monumental heritage. The comparison between the Cultural Heritage Framework Law and the new Contracts Code (legislative decree n. 36 of 2023) also makes it possible to better define, in addition to the tax benefits, the forms of partnership to allow the recovery, restoration, planned maintenance, management, opening to public use and valorisation of cultural heritage. The contribution therefore aims, 20 years after the Cultural Heritage Framework Law, to show a series of initiatives in Sicily, comparing them, in order to understand how many of these have actually been translated into restoration work. In the light of the theme of planned conservation, the contribution made by private individuals, also through partnerships, for the valorisation and enjoyment of the monumental heritage will then be read. Lastly, the need to guarantee the conservation of the heritage through careful interventions that are compatible with the historical-monumental value of the assets is noted.

Abstract
Lastly, the need to guarantee the conservation of the heritage through careful interventions that are compatible with the historical-monumental value of the assets is noted.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
