Abstract

Over the past 20 years, several studies observed an increase of Mediterranean A. lixula populations. Recently, a positive correlation is documented between abundance of A. lixula and temperature rising. This, improves thermophilic features of A. lixula. Reproductive processes are fundamentals to understand the success of a species influenced by environmental factors (e.g. temperature and pH).
