Teacher leadership plays a crucial role in encouraging active engagement of teachers in guiding and sharing responsibilities, not only enhancing organizational effectiveness but also significantly shaping their professional growth. This paper aims to explore teachers' perception of obstacles, perceived barriers, and beliefs related to teacher leadership, with a specific focus on the change induced by an individual coaching intervention. For this purpose, a questionnaire, adapted from previously validated instruments in the international literature, was administered to a sample of 48 teachers in managerial roles across 12 Sicilian schools. The results suggest the effectiveness of coaching in positively shaping teachers' perspectives and promoting an integrated vision of teacher leadership.
La teacher leadership assume un ruolo cruciale nell'incoraggiare l'attiva partecipazione degli insegnanti nell'orientare e condividere le responsabilità, non solo potenziando l'efficacia organizzativa, ma anche plasmando significativamente la loro crescita professionale. Il presente contributo si propone di esplorare la percezione degli insegnanti nei confronti degli ostacoli, delle barriere percepite e delle convinzioni legate alla leadership dei docenti, con particolare attenzione al cambiamento indotto da un intervento di coaching individuale. A tal fine è stato somministrato un questionario, adattato da strumenti precedentemente validati nella letteratura internazionale di riferimento, a un campione di 48 docenti ricoprenti ruoli di management in 12 istituti scolastici siciliani. I risultati suggeriscono l'efficacia del coaching nel modulare positivamente le prospettive dei docenti e promuovere una visione integrata della leadership degli insegnanti.
