The purpose of this paper is to focus on the role that the family system plays in the creation of a family firm and during the first generation. The concept of latent generation emerges, a generation, coeval with the first generation, which through the constant and mutual sharing of the dimensions of the relational capital that has a positive impact on strategic choices of the family firm.
