L'impianto basilicale di Sofiana: un'ipotesi ricostruttiva tridimensionale per la conoscenza e la valorizzazione di un monumento paleocristiano della Sicilia centrale

The contribution is a virtual archeology project, through which a 3D reconstruction of the early Christian Basilica of Sofiana (Mazzarino, CL) is proposed. The reconstructive hypothesis is based on the published data and comparison with similar contemporary structures and is therefore subject to updating, based on the analysis of the archaeological data. The objective is to contribute, with the support of non-invasive techniques, to the re-evaluation of a site little known to the non-specialist public, despite belonging to the same historical and topographical context as the much more famous Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina.
