Sustainable post-emergency architecture projects represent an important solution to ensure the safety and comfort of people during and after a disaster. Architecture plays a crucial role in responding to natural disasters and other emergencies. Post-emergency architecture, namely the design and construction of buildings and structures after a catastrophic event, is a critical aspect of recovery and reconstruction in case of disasters. It provides shelter, safety, and stability to communities affected by emergencies and helps to rebuild infrastructure and restore a sense of normalcy in the aftermath of the disaster. By incorporating sustainable practices and technologies, post-emergency architecture can also increase resilience to future emergencies and promote long-term sustainability for affected communities. Post-emergency architecture is therefore a vital component of disaster management and an essential aspect of creating a more sustainable and resilient future. However, designing and managing post-emergency structures is a complex challenge that requires careful consideration of people’s needs, environmental risks, and available resources. This article explores the world of post-disaster design, with particular attention to aspects related to reconstructions that have used energy protocols. The article examines post-disaster projects that have adopted different energy standards for their implementation. Sustainable protocols, such as renewable energy sources and high-energy efficiency technologies, are presented in case studies, demonstrating that they have been used to ensure an efficient and sustainable response to emergencies. The document also analyses how these protocols have impacted the resilience of affected communities and their ability to recover. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of considering sustainable energy protocols in post-emergency projects to ensure a more sustainable future for affected communities.

Abstract

Post-emergency design focuses on the reconstruction of safe and functional structures to accommodate people after catastrophic events.
