The World Heritage List includes seven Sicilian sites, the last in order of time to be recognized is the ‘Arab-Norman Palermo and the Cathedral Churches of Cefalù and Monreale’ itinerary (2015). This includes ten monuments selected for their "conditions of integrity, authenticity and good state of preservation". In 2018 the combination of the events ‘Palermo Capital of Culture’ and ‘Manifesta’ widened the debate on awareness and enhancement of monumental heritage, through an urban vision of recognized networks.
