The subject of the article is Dependency Grammar (DG) as a tool of didactics of Italian as FL for Chinese speaking learners. We will obviously refer to the model developed by Francesco Sabatini for the didactics of Italian grammar started by Tesnière. The analysis was carried out on texts by learners attending a syntax course at Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) in Chongqing, China, held by the author in 201 5. In the first part (§§ 1 -2.4) the subject is treated inside a reasoning upon the principal aspects of the relationship between language and theory and teaching of the language. This part will devote attention to the intricate relationship between system of language and texts. The second part (§§ 3-3.5) will focus on the comparison between conceptual and didactic tools of DG and socio-cognitive and cultural characteristics of Chinese-speaking learners. In the last section of the third part (§§ 4-5.1 ) a revision of the acquisition sequences of dependency documented in literature is proposed, a revision suggested by the analysis of the written productions of the learners throughout their whole educational path.
