ARIA - Abitarla con criterio

A whole cycle is closing: «Fire, Water, Earth, Air», but to quote Aristotele1, we should still need to talk about the ‘Quintessence’. Thus, this is the fifth step of the discussion. This can lead us to have a deeper understanding of the main themes of Architectu- re. Indeed, its principles of life and movement, they are between soul and body. All of this can lead us to rethink Architecture beyond its matter and beside the heaviness of the built. There- fore air becomes part of its essence. A lot of project experien- ces helped developing the point from different points of view. Therefore, this is the aim of the “4th International Bio-Meeting Convention ‘Aria…il respiro della terra”.

Si chiude un ciclo: «fuoco, acqua, terra, aria», ma per citare Aristotele, dovremmo ancora affrontare il tema della ‘quinta essenza’ quale quinto elemento di riflessione1. Questo potrà condurci ad una lettura ancor più ampia dei temi dell’Archi- tettura con i sui principi di vita e di moto, ora intermedia- ti fra anima e corpo, ora assimilati al principio storico che ci può distaccare dalla pesantezza del costruito, ripensando l’Architettura oltre la sua materia componente, dove l’Aria diviene parte della sua essenza. Un ventaglio di esperienze progettuali (più o meno note) mostra il tema sotto vari pro- fili, questo il senso del contributo al “4° Bio-Incontro Aria… il respiro della terra”.
