The aim to reduce the environmental pollution due to the production and the disposal of the synthetic materials, has recently lead to the enactment of regulations for the environmental protection that impose the increasing use of eco-friendly and/or renewable materials and, consequently, to a considerable interest about the so called biocomposites, i.e. to innovative materials obtained by the reinforcing of eco-friendly or renewable polymers by natural fibers as flax, jute, hemp, agave etc. Although numerous research works have been devoted to biocomposites, at present only few articles have dealt with the development of high performance biocomposites for structural applications. In order to give a contribution to the development of such materials, the present work considers in detail the development of innovative biocomposites obtained by a green epoxy matrix reinforced with optimized agave fibers.

Abstract
In order to give a contribution to the development of such materials, the present work considers in detail the development of innovative biocomposites obtained by a green epoxy matrix reinforced with optimized agave fibers.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
