This paper reports the results of multibody numerical simulation of the vehicle crash against a teenager pedestrian. A previous technique for the adult pedestrian impact is applied. The work starts with the determination of the masses for the various segments of the body of a teenager with total mass 45 kg, then switches to the construction of the dummy and the middle class vehicle in Visual Nastran environment. Simulations are performed in both frontal and lateral impact, at constant speed and in braking , following the EuroNCAP rules on the subject. The results are analyzed by calculating the values of HIC for the head and the values of TTI and 3 ms criterion for the chest; the injuries are assessed according to the current interpretation, AIS curves are used to determine the dangerousness of the impact. Finally the results are closed to those obtained applying the same technique to the adult pedestrian and other available data in the literature for adult or child.

Abstract
Finally the results are closed to those obtained applying the same technique to the adult pedestrian and other available data in the literature for adult or child.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
