To address the energy crisis afflicting the contemporary city, recovery plans and retraining must mobilize new forms of intelligence and creativity that can be considered unusual "renewable energy sources" as well as the resilient ability of settlements. The article outlines these basic concepts that, within the framework of the PhD in Environmental and Building Recovery, can help to develop inter-disciplinary research involving urban planning and architectural technology.

Per affrontare la crisi energetica che affligge le città contemporanee, i piani di recupero e di riqualificazione devono necessariamente mobilitare nuove forme d’intelligenza e creatività che possono essere considerati singolari “fonti di energia rinnovabile” così come le capacità resilienti degli insediamenti. L’articolo tratteggia questi basilari concetti che, nell’ambito del dottorato di ricerca in Recupero Edilizio e Ambientale, possono contribuire a sviluppare ricerche inter-disciplinari coinvolgendo la pianificazione urbanistica e la tecnologia dell’architettura
