Coperture in vetro come opportunità di rigenerazione urbana

Often historic centers preserve archaeological finds unable to talk about themselves, appeared on the scene of the city, that can now live with the people without stopping it. The reading of the historical centers’ layers can regenerate the historic structure and reconstruct the identity of the places. The remains can be protected and shown to the public and the heritage protection can be part of an overall project with attention to the quality of life, creating opportunities for historical memory, enhancement and tourist attraction. In particular, in the last decades, the solutions using mainly glass to cover the finds have become more widespread. The aim of this article is to analyze some case studies, the European historic centers where the use of glass to protect the ruins represents an effective way of urban regeneration.
