This oral contribution explores vegetation dynamics and landscape connectivity in Mediterranean ecosystems through the framework of integrated phytosociology. Vegetation series and their spatial organization are used to interpret successional processes, ecological heterogeneity and anthropogenic disturbance. Applied to Sicilian landscapes, this approach integrates spatial and temporal dimensions to provide a dynamic interpretation of landscape connectivity.
