The article explores liability issues arising from the failure to provide the Information Sheet in the placement of Italian postal savings bonds (buoni fruttiferi postali – BFP), in light of the recent judgment of the Italian Supreme Court no. 3686/2026. The analysis reconstructs the distinctive legal framework governing BFPs, marked by mechanisms of normative hetero-integration and by the progressive incorporation of postal savings within the broader paradigms of transparency. Particular attention is devoted to the relationship between disclosure obligations, limitation periods and causation, as well as to the tension between the public enforcement of unfair commercial practices and individual civil liability.
