This paper examines the structural relationship between technology and transcendence in twentieth- and contemporary philosophy. Beginning with Heidegger’s account of being-in-the-world, it argues that instrumentality reveals transcendence as the constitutive movement through which human existence exceeds given entities by situating them within relational and functional totalities. This framework is then connected to Leroi-Gourhan’s paleoanthropology and Stiegler’s thesis that technics and humanity emerge through a circular process of mutual constitution. The analysis further considers Ellul’s conception of the technical system as an autonomous and expansive force that progressively integrates heterogeneous materials, functions, and environments. Across these perspectives, technology appears both as a movement transcending organic life and as a transcendental condition of human existence. The paper concludes by comparing the different responses proposed by Heidegger, Leroi-Gourhan, Ellul, and Stiegler to the growing autonomy and systemic power of technics.

Abstract
The paper concludes by comparing the different responses proposed by Heidegger, Leroi-Gourhan, Ellul, and Stiegler to the growing autonomy and systemic power of technics.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
