Staiano is a scholar of many merits. He has extensively studied the Italian form of government, has considered the condition of regionalism and the complex principle of Italian unification, and has conducted original research on the sources of law and the crisis of state law. Among the many topics he has addressed, the one I found closest to my heart is Italy's ongoing transformation, seen from the perspective of political parties. This essay aims to illustrate the problem of the political party in Sandro Staiano's thought.
