This study, which is part of an action research approach and grounded in didactic engineering, was conducted from a teacher-researcher perspective, combining teaching and observation roles. By articulating theory and practice, the didactic engineering process consisted in designing, experimenting with, and evaluating the didactic unit Learning to Translate Inclusive Writing with NMT. Developed according to the principles of the action-oriented approach and project-based pedagogy, this didactic unit is also anchored in a gender-based approach to the didactics of translation, mobilising artificial intelligence technologies in the context of French as a Foreign Language.
