This chapter explores the concept of trust from a phenomenological perspective, drawing on Edmund Husserl’s philosophy to analyze its role in individual and social life. Starting from the difference between trust in the proper sense and reliability, I try to show how trust is not only a social glue but an authentic primary form of perception of the other. Trust is what makes the other visible to me and, at the same time, transforms the overall appearance of the world. This experience, therefore, has not only cognitive significance but can also be considered one of the generative sources of social life.

Abstract
This chapter explores the concept of trust from a phenomenological perspective, drawing on Edmund Husserl’s philosophy to analyze its role in individual and social life. Starting from the difference between trust in the proper sense and reliability, I try to show how trust is not only a social glue but an authentic primary form of perception of the other. Trust is what makes the other visible to me and, at the same time, transforms the overall appearance of the world. This experience, therefore, has not only cognitive significance but can also be considered one of the generative sources of social life.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
