The article analyzes, through two case studies in a chronological framework, the relationship between the rise of digital and information technologies since the postwar era and industrial design, while also suggesting future scenarios. The cases address the development of digital design linked to new classes of objects and interfaces, and the shift in car interior design from analog to electronic, posing new formal, ergonomic, and semantic challenges. Hybridization emerges as a design strategy enabling new possibilities.

Abstract
The article analyzes, through two case studies in a chronological framework, the relationship between the rise of digital and information technologies since the postwar era and industrial design, while also suggesting future scenarios. The cases address the development of digital design linked to new classes of objects and interfaces, and the shift in car interior design from analog to electronic, posing new formal, ergonomic, and semantic challenges.
