We propose a reflection on the reception of the practices that constitute the essence and existence of contemporary theatre, that is, dramaturgy, acting, and theatre directing, relating to different kinds of open-air productions. There are three rules that run the use of open-air and indoor stages, which in our contemporary subordinate the actor and his technique to the increasingly demiurgic role of theatre director, and make one to believe that the actor must instinctively follow the director's requests basically with instinctively spontaneity. The actor is the essence of theatre, and its very existence, and above all, its artifice, is linked to the actor. If an individual spectator, even knowing he is witnessing fiction, convinces himself that the actor at that moment, though he is acting, is revealing a truth and therefore what he is watching is not an artifice but all is authentically true, the concept, that is, the actor's critic interpretation, becomes visible on stage.

Abstract
We propose a reflection on the reception of the practices that constitute the essence and existence of contemporary theatre, that is, dramaturgy, acting, and theatre directing, relating to different kinds of open-air productions. There are three rules that run the use of open-air and indoor stages, which in our contemporary subordinate the actor and his technique to the increasingly demiurgic role of theatre director, and make one to believe that the actor must instinctively follow the director's requests basically with instinctively spontaneity. The actor is the essence of theatre, and its very existence, and above all, its artifice, is linked to the actor. If an individual spectator, even knowing he is witnessing fiction, convinces himself that the actor at that moment, though he is acting, is revealing a truth and therefore what he is watching is not an artifice but all is authentically true, the concept, that is, the actor's critic interpretation, becomes visible on stage.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
