This work offers a reflection on the content and characteristics of P.Oxy. XIII 1611 and interprets the text as belonging to a work conceived for a symposium context. It also gives a new reading of fragments 8+10+11, recomposed to form a continuous text, referring to Hellanicus and historical scenarios that are difficult to understand.
