The article critically re-examines the criteria for balancing the political autonomy of Parliament and the judicial guarantee of rights progressively established in decisions on conflicts between politics and the judiciary arising from statements made by parliamentarians that are abstractly damaging to the personal reputation of others. In particular, it nvestigates the relationship between the balancing criteria commonly applied in the field of criminal and civil protection of honor and the specific balancing criteria established in the field of parliamentary immunity.
