The work aims to analyse the current nature and intensity of judicial review over administrative police activity, through an examination of the various jurisprudential guidelines that have been formed in relation to the measures most used in administrative practice. At the conclusion of the analysis, some critical reflections will be offered concerning the effectiveness of the judicial oversight exercised thus far by administrative courts, particularly in relation to the facts ascertained by the public security authority in the specific administrative proceedings, and on its possible future developments, also in light of certain recent interpretative approaches, which, on the basis of multiple arguments, advocate the concrete implementation, in this delicate area, of the principles of fullness and effectiveness of judicial protection.
