Representation allows the interaction between landscape and detail scale, giving the possibility to represent, and visualize, both the giant and the miniature. It is possible to trace the coexistence of both dimensions already in the 19th century, with the phenomenon of the circular panorama. These large-scale paintings provide to the viewer both an overview of the infinite landscape and minute details of urban and domestic life, in a well-balanced and immersive representation.

Abstract
Representation allows the interaction between landscape and detail scale, giving the possibility to represent, and visualize, both the giant and the miniature.
