This paper investigates Gilbert Simondon's perspective on the possibility of founding a new humanism through the re-introduction of technology into culture. Simondon proposes a new humanism based on encyclopaedism, rejecting the idea of an easy humanism determined by prevailing scientism and technophobia. Simondonian humanism envisages the decentralisation of man as the ruler of nature and the reintegration of technology into culture.
