Gli euromissili e il Msi. Il neofascismo italiano e la sua componente giovanile di fronte alla rinascita della guerra fredda (1979-1983)

This essay reconstructs the reaction of the Italian Social Movement (MSI) in the face of the installation and full deployment of Pershing II and Cruise missiles on the European territory from 1979 and 1983. The A's intent is to understand how the MSI, through its youth branch, perceived such option that marked the crisis of the ongoing modl of détente by prospecting an anticommunist paradigma appreciated by a large party majority. Drawing prevalently on pubblications and documents produced by thee juvenile wing of the party - a material which helps gai insight into the multilayer composition of neofascist political culture, the discourse develops two thematic cores: the representation of the Cold War after the end of the détente on the one side, and the way of describing the generational and ideological composition of protest against th installation of the new nuclear missiles on the other.
