In Spain, the evolution of urban policies over the last two decades has led to a gradual shift away from development models centred on economic growth and urban expansion towards approaches focused on quality of life, sustainability and inclusion. Cities such as Barcelona have developed strategies that integrate urban planning, social policies and the design of public spaces, creating a model in which the urban environment is conceived as a platform for rights. A central element of this approach concerns the relationship between space and inequality. Research in the field of urban studies shows that the distribution of urban resources — green spaces, services, infrastructure — is not neutral, but reflects socio-economic and political structures that tend to reproduce forms of exclusion. In response to these dynamics, Spanish urban policies have introduced equity-oriented planning tools, with the aim of ensuring a more balanced distribution of resources and opportunities.

Abstract
In response to these dynamics, Spanish urban policies have introduced equity-oriented planning tools, with the aim of ensuring a more balanced distribution of resources and opportunities.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
