Environmental communication is now a fundamental component of architectural and urban design, as it directly influences the perception of spaces and the behaviour of users. Scientific literature has shown that information relating to sustainability — when made visible through communicative, graphic or spatial means — influences individual and collective choices, steering everyday practices towards more sustainable models. In this context, a project cannot be viewed solely as a physical configuration, but must also be understood as a communicative system capable of conveying values, norms and meanings. Studies in the field of design communication highlight how visual and informational language is often still subordinate to market logic, whilst sustainability requires a paradigm shift that integrates social and environmental responsibility into design processes.
