Experiences of urban gender mainstreaming, documented in various European contexts, demonstrate that the gender perspective can be integrated into practical planning without reducing the project to an ideological exercise. A focus on perceived safety, everyday mobility, the distribution of public spaces and basic services makes it clear that the quality of space is inseparable from the quality of the relationships it facilitates. In this context, post-gender living means designing spaces and languages that do not require conformity to predefined identity models, but which recognise the plurality of bodily, relational and symbolic experiences. It is a design principle, but also an educational and political one, which invites us to view space as a place of coexistence rather than separation.
