The transition from high school to university represents a profound change not only in disciplinary content, but also in the way subjects are taught, learned, and assessed. This is particularly true for scientific subjects like probability, which balance intuitive aspects with theoretical formalization. In Italy, the education system is relatively closed when it comes to career opportunities for teachers. The two professional paths are distinct from the outset, with few cases of teachers moving from school to university and even fewer making the reverse journey. However, the exchange of teaching methods between the two levels offers many advantages, benefiting both the quality of teaching and students' learning. This article describes a recurring experience lasting four years, in which a university professor teaches probability and combinatorics in high schools.

Abstract
The transition from high school to university represents a profound change not only in disciplinary content, but also in the way subjects are taught, learned, and assessed. This is particularly true for scientific subjects like probability, which balance intuitive aspects with theoretical formalization. In Italy, the education system is relatively closed when it comes to career opportunities for teachers. The two professional paths are distinct from the outset, with few cases of teachers moving from school to university and even fewer making the reverse journey. However, the exchange of teaching methods between the two levels offers many advantages, benefiting both the quality of teaching and students' learning. This article describes a recurring experience lasting four years, in which a university professor teaches probability and combinatorics in high schools.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
