This paper offers a comparative and interdisciplinary reflection on the challenges arising from the increasing integration of predictive artificial intelligence within contemporary judicial systems. Adopting a critical and humanistic perspective, the analysis explores the epistemological and normative limitations of algorithmic rationality as applied to legal decision-making, with particular attention to judicial hermeneutics. It highlights the regulatory fragmentation across different jurisdictions and emphasises the urgent need to develop coherent governance frameworks. Ultimately, the paper advocates for a renewed centrality of comparative law as a methodological tool to safeguard the indispensable human dimension of legal judgement in the age of digital transformation.
