I cristiani visti dall’Islām. Fondamenti teologici a confronto

The essential data presented in this paper aims to geographically delineate the territories of the first Muslims and the site of the formation of the Islamic community, which from its very beginnings would find both Jewish and Christian communities settled there. Drawing on the Quran, we find a description of Christians and their relationship with them, the accusation of falsifying the sacred scriptures, and the main theological themes that constitute elements of difference and contrast. The terms radd, naqd, and muḥāwara are also analyzed to better understand the initial Islamic-Christian confrontation and debate.

I dati essenziali esposti in questo contributo intendono circoscrivere geograficamente i territori dei primi musulmani e la sede della formazione della comunità islamica che fin dai suoi esordi troverà ivi stanziate la comunità ebraica e quella cristiana. Attingendo al Corano troviamo la descrizione dei cristiani e il modo di relazionarsi ad essi, l'accusa di aver falsificato le sacre scritture ed i principali temi teologici che costituiscono elemento di differenza e contrasto. Si analizzano inoltre i termini di radd, naqd e muḥāwara per meglio comprendere l’iniziale confronto e dibattito islamo- cristiano.
