The educational care of the soul has always been considered fundamental to building a world of peace without conflict and suffering. In fact, the aspiration to a good life where the individual good corresponds to the common good has always been present in the history of humanity. But what does inner harmony mean? Is it really achievable today, in such uncertain times, full of anxiety and violence, to achieve a peaceful world starting from the care of the soul? Starting from these questions, the paper briefly reconstructs the history of education for harmony and peace, focusing on practices, theories and traditions that clarify the virtuous relationship between inner life and the worlds of life.
