Slut-shaming is a sexual stigmatization that consist in a form of discrimination against those who do not respect gender stereotypes in terms of external appearance, behavior and attitude. In fact, when people do not conform to gender roles and stereotypes, their behavior is sanctioned through slut- shaming. Therefore, LGBTQIA+ individuals may actually be exposed to specific forms of slut-shaming in regard to their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Abstract

Slut-shaming is a sexual stigmatization that consist in a form of discrimination against those who do not respect gender stereotypes in terms of external appearance, behavior and attitude. In fact, when people do not conform to gender roles and stereotypes, their behavior is sanctioned through slut- shaming.
