Starting from the photographic gaze of well-known representatives of architectural and costume photography of the late 20th century, the essay reflects on the relationship between architecture, design and fashion, seeking to understand whether the fashion industry can facilitate the enhancement of a widespread quality mainly related to historical architecture or whether, on the contrary, it is the aesthetic forms of tradition that have recently developed an ever-increasing desire for standards that are not easily accessible, conveyed by the media used by fashion brands.
