EnglishCasa Ricordi published 4 volumes (1907, 1921, 1954,1959) of Sicilian folksongs with piano accompaniment by the ethnomusicologists Alberto Favara (1863-1923) and Ottavio Tiby (1881-1955), his disciple. An anthology of them, sung by Irene Ientile, Tiby's great-granddaughter and Favara's great-great-granddaughter, accompanied at the piano by Ornella Cerniglia, is registered in the attached cd.
