The design experiment, developed by the ATESIP group at the University of Palermo, explores the theme of the Social Housing Community through the interpretation of urban space in light of changing physical and cultural characteristics. The research conducted on Block E of the Roccafanara neighbourhood in the municipality of Valledolmo asserts the capacity of architectural design to investigate the anthropized territory using tools of spatial and temporal transcalarity, with the aim of achieving a just ecological transition. To address the socio-economic marginalisation of the Madonie Inner Area, the intervention proposes the demolition and reconstruction of the neighbourhood, enhancing its orientation and strengthening the provision of public spaces. The design for Block E integrates residential and collective functions within a framework of social mixité, adopting dry and reversible construction technologies that enhance the surrounding landscape.

Abstract
The design for Block E integrates residential and collective functions within a framework of social mixité, adopting dry and reversible construction technologies that enhance the surrounding landscape.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
